  • Do not forget the Lord

Heya, yups this was my devotion Deuteronomy 8.

1 Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land that the LORD promised on oath to your forefathers. 2 Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, to humble you and to test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. 3 He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. 4 Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years. 5 Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the LORD your God disciplines you.

6 Observe the commands of the LORD your God, walking in his ways and revering him. 7 For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land—a land with streams and pools of water, with springs flowing in the valleys and hills; 8 a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey; 9 a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills.

10 When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the LORD your God for the good land he has given you. 11 Be careful that you do not forget the LORD your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day. 12 Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down, 13 and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied, 14 then your heart will become proud and you will forget the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 15 He led you through the vast and dreadful desert, that thirsty and waterless land, with its venomous snakes and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock. 16 He gave you manna to eat in the desert, something your fathers had never known, to humble and to test you so that in the end it might go well with you. 17 You may say to yourself, "My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me." 18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.

19 If you ever forget the LORD your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed. 20 Like the nations the LORD destroyed before you, so you will be destroyed for not obeying the LORD your God.

The main purpose i shared it here is because i am really tired about life at one point and i kinda sick of my life as well as my faith was not that strong. But this little passage here has ever speaks to me again. The one that i bold it is the Word of the Lord has speaks to me. Indeed, we as Christians must be very careful and follow every command that God has given to us today so that we may enter in His kingdom. As in verse 2 says, remember how the Lord led us all the way in the desert for 40 days. Here i was reminded about all this years , how God has led me through and through the days of my troubles, my tiredness, my sorrows, my hurts and pains, how He healed me and how He has helped me, carrying me through it all. Thank You Lord. I was once again reminded to always count on His blessings and not on what had happen. It is when we count on His blessings, it will  surely overrides the hurts and the pains we go through in our daily life. All of us does not live on bread alone but on every Word  that comes form the mouth of the Lord. how true is that? We all does not just live here by word of man nor by the food but the Living Water, Living bread and the Living Word. It is by his words we live and by His words and commands we are changed and it is by practising what He said, the world of darkness will know that we are His disciples. Shine for Him my fellow brothers and sisters. The things that is going through us might seems to be so hard to overcome but hang on there, God is with you and because He loves us , He discipline us as how a man disciplines his son. So therefore, my fellow disciples of God observe the commands and walk in His ways and do not ever ever forget the Lord. For  if you did He will destroy you.

  • PUSH

    * thought of sharing it..=] i read this from a webbie*

A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled
with light, and God appeared. The Lord told the man he had work for him
to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord
explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might.
So, this the man did, day after day. For many years he toiled from sun up
to sun down; his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface
of the unmoving rock, pushing with all of his might. Each night the man
returned to his cabin sore and worn out, feeling that his whole day had
    been spent in vain.

Since the man was showing discouragement, the Adversary (Satan) decided to
enter the picture by placing thoughts in the man's weary mind: "You have
been pushing against that rock for a long time, and it hasn't moved," thus
giving the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he wa
s a failure. These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man.

"Why kill myself over this?" he thought. "I'll just put in my time,
giving just the minimum effort; and that will be good enough." And that
is what he planned to do, until one day he decided to make it a matter of
prayer and take his troubled thoughts to the Lord. "Lord," he said, "I
have labored long and hard in your service, putting all my strength to do
that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even
budged that rock by half a millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing?"

The Lord responded compassionately, "My friend, when I asked you to serve
Me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the
rock with all of your strength, which you have done. Never once did I
mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And
now you come to Me with you strength spent, t hinking that you have
failed. But, is that really so? Look at yourself. Your arms are strong
and muscled, your back sinewy and brown, your hands are callused from
constant pressure, your legs have become massive and hard. Through
opposition you have grown much, and your abilities now surpass that which
you used to have. Yet you haven't moved the rock. But your calling was
to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in My
wisdom. This you have done. Now I, My friend, will move the rock."

At times, when we hear a word from God, we tend to use our own intellect
to decipher what He wants, when actually what God wants is just a simple
obedience and faith in Him. By all means, exercise the faith that moves
mountains, but know that it is still God who moves mountains.

When everything seems to go wrong, just PUSH! When the job gets you down,
just PUSH! When people don't react the wa y you think they should, just
PUSH! When your money looks "gone" and the bills are due, just PUSH! When
people just don't understand you, just PUSH!

  • Walk in the Light

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.-Psalm 19:14

Hey there peeps, this psalm here is where i ponder a lot as i click on a website. Many times in life we all do and does sins. Each day without failing we do things that somehow it sins. DO not tell me I did not. I do I admit. Each of us does. Each day no matter how holy we are, we do sin. Each day before I end my day, I often ask god to forgive me for all my wrongs. Forgive me for all the things that I had done that is not favourable to His eyes.

See, I guess all of us here take things for granted each day. We know that Jesus has die and rose again and yes praise the Lord for that because we know all our sins and all our shame has been forgiven. Thank God for this grace and this salvation. But does it means that we can continue to be sinful and sins among people around us? Some may say, we can confess and god will forgive. Yes, He does. But is this all about it? Does it make sense? So what different are we as Christians, as a believer of Christ? We all are nothing but the darkness. In Matthew 5:13-14 it says, we are the Light and the Salt of the earth. How on earth can we lead the darkness? We do not even have the Light though we did. We did not even practice it.

The bible also tells us that, we are a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come- 2 Corinthians 5:17. If we continue to sins against others and ourselves, does it brings any difference? I don’t see any. See, we are all a different person. The old has gone. It is deleted. We are gonna start our life again. The book of life once we had long time is a past. Now we are starting off with a new book, a new chapter.  We start from chapter 1. A book where our life will be different from the past. We are a new creation!

In Galatians 3:26-27, you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. Look we are all God’s children. I believe many of us know of a word that sounds a lil like this: How the children react is depends on how the parents.  We are all the same. We were once new born babies. We were train and taught by our parents. How we are today is influenced by our parents. Likewise here, we are God’s children. By Him we call Abba Father. Since we are all his children, how we react is actually reflects on Him. People will see us, the way we act, the way we show love, the way we care and our inner personalities. Trust me. Many people are watching us. And by watching us, they will know whether we are the Disciples of Christ. It is by observation they will judge us.  Yes the bible says, do not judge or you too will be judge.-Matthew 7:1. I did not ask us to judge, but if you do notice and do observe the world. The world is actually watching us. We all make mistakes we are human not robot. We are not programme to be perfect and we will never be perfect because we are not. That’s why we need God.  What makes us stray away? One of them is temptations. Jesus was once tempted 3 times by Satan. But what happen? Did Jesus fall into the trap? No. He did not.-Matthew 4:1-11.  The main reason Jesus did not fall into the Satan’s trap is because Jesus know the word in His heart. Do we know the word in our heart? Do we spend time with God and remember scriptures? In 1 Corinthians10:13, no temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. There is no temptation that God cannot bear. It is whether we wanna give in or not.

Again, this is my prayer, may the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.-Psalm 19:14.

I challenge all of you here to walk in the Light, to read His word, to meditate upon the Word and understand it.  I also challenge all of us here; include me to obey His word daily and not just for a day or two. Honour Him and He will honour you.

  • Praise God

    Hye peeps.

Well, today I had a wonderful day with God. Remember once my soul was really dead. As in dead. I mean I have been longing for God. I do pray and I do surrender. Well, I did not surrender 100% tho. Today’s sermon was amazing. To be honest, I feel so “me”. Each time the speaker speaks, it’s reflecting a lot in my life.  I know it is not a coincide but it is God.

Well, it is a lot of things to share bout today’s sermon and I know my blog is a wordy blog, perhaps I shall out in a poem form? It might not rhymes but I will try =]

     Here it goes,

Early morning giving thanks to Thee,

For the new mercies and grace,

Without failing, thy was bless by Thee,

Each step thy take, was a step of Faith,

Believing that thy will go through it,

    Each night, with great passion,

Thy open the Word of God,

Reading it with an open heart,

Each Words speaks in different way,

O how I miss those times,

    One morning, one night,

Thy was lost in this cracked world,

Feeling of emptiness fulfil my days,

Every night, I cry on to Thee,

Praying and speaking to Thee is all I did,

Close to the heart, the emptiness is still there,

Lonely I feel, pains and sorrow surrounded my heart,

    Today, today is the day,

    Thee says,” surrender to Thee”

Tears falls, but is thy joy,

Thee, the Lord has once again,

    Fill thy heart with joy,

Fill the emptiness in my heart,

    Long enough thy waited for,

    Once again thy learn,

    To surrender is to give,

To give 100% and not 99.99%,

Knowing that us can’t change a thing,

    When hearts are not change,

    Life is a journey,

If us do not let go things,

    Keep on holding on things,

    It does destroys us,

    Let go my fellow readers,

    Whatever is in thee hand,

Let go, again thy say let go!,

    Again, thy repeat,

    Surrender fully to Thee,

For Thee will surely take hold of it,

Thee will never, ever leave us,

    For Thee grace is good,

    Thee love never fails!

    I hope I did a good one there =]

  • Reflection

    Amazing grace

    How sweet the sound

That saves a wretch like me

I once was lost but now I found

Was blind but now I see

Indeed how amazing is His grace? Today I would like all of us to reflect our life. What have we done so far? Throughout your time on earth from the day you have accepted Jesus in your heart. Take a few minute ponder upon your life. How have you grown? What Jesus had taught you through all your weariness and circumstances in life?

For those who are back slided how did Jesus bring you back? In what way God’s grace carried you through?

    *ponder**

Well, how was it? It’s that good or bad? Of course in life we go through thorns. I do. I learn a lot for the past few months of my life. See, to learn something we need to have patience. Patience is not my thing. It’s never mine. I once was a girl who has very hot –tempered thanks to me gens. My dad is a hot-tempered man. He was also the number one fierce person in my family. I come the second. *lol* I do not know when exactly the day I realize I have changed. The one thing that happens in my life that makes me see the different is where once my parents as usual, parents being parents just love to nag even tho it is not my fault. Usually at this scenario I will get angry, why? Reason is because I have my rights to say that it is not my fault. As for me, everyone has their own reason and rights in doing something. They cannot simply assume things and scold me for no reason. If it is my fault, then I am okay with it. Scold me and I will learn. One thing, why must they scold and shout when I do something wrong? Can’t they just like tell me in a nice way? See, as children the more the parents shout at them, the anger grows and we intend to do even more. Agree with me??? As for parents I know scolding means love. Sometimes, this is not the way; we children would want to hear. We do not see this as love. We see this as hatred. All right, back to the topic, as I said I change a lil in my tempered. As I said earlier, once my parents scold me for no reason, something weird happen. I did not say any word nor did I stand for my rights. All I do was just listen and kept silent. Honestly. It is not me. It’s never me. And guess what? I feel much better even I get the scolding but it is not my fault. I did not cried as before when I shouted back and stand for my rights. The only reason I say I did not cried as before cause at times I do cry when my parents scold me. It is emotions. =] See, how amazing is God’s grace.

Another thing is God teaches me to not to make a conclusion based on one person or an event that had happen. God also show me that every one of us is different in a way. God shows me that every person’s heart have different desires and different priorities in life. This remind me about Romans 12:4-8 just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.  See what I mean? We are all different and that’s why we need one another. The body of Christ here is like teamwork. We can’t do things out if we did not do it with teamwork. Some will be the hand, some will be the leg and other will be the eyes, mouth and etc. This is how it’s works. I truly thank God for teaching me all these into a practical. Some of us may ask why God is giving us problems in life so that we can learn what the Word says. Well, let me tell you this if we do not experience it we will never know the true meaning. Look, it is just like before we actually work we all do have practical training right? What is the purpose so that we know exactly what we learn before and practise it in real life? We all do know about the theory and the calculations of our future work. So why need to have practical training? Is the same concept here.

I know I have been typing a lot here but please bear with me okie. Next, I learn that we human many times love to just please people around us. Wait I would not use the word love to pleas people, I would say in life we often please people around us so that we will be loved by them. Agree with my statement? Do not say, well not really. Not really means to a certain extend it is true. I do. To some of us here might just do things for themselves only and did not care about what other feel.  Doing for yourself what do you gain? Nothing actually. See in Colossians 3:23, whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. We indeed should do things for God and not for men! Do things that will glorify His name! Amen? How bout being selfish? Well God’s says, do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you- Romans 12:3

So what have God teaches you so far?
